The fact that World War Z is being made into a movie sort of saddens me, because it would kick SO MUCH ASS as a documentary. Some understated thing by the BBC, with sombre interviews with survivors, clips of Phalanx advertisements, footage of the Battle of Yonkers (like, from a distance, there's only a suggestion of all the fucked-up gore going on down there being overwhelmed by millions of zombies), that kind of thing. Sound clips from Radio Free Earth, before-and-after shots of cities. Pictures of quislings. What else?
Actually, scratch that, it'd be a documentary series. Three parts, maybe? An hour-long episode each for the origins and the panic, then the war, then effects on 'modern society'. I WOULD DO SO MUCH TO SEE THIS GUYS, SRSLY. If the rights weren't already sold (presumably?) I'd be writing to the BBC right now.
